Traditional Japanese Cast Iron Kettle for Authentic Tea Preparation
This Nambu cast iron kettle (tetsubin) is handcrafted in Japan by Iwachu, a manufacturer known for traditional ironware.
Rooted in over 400 years of Nambu ironware craftsmanship, this kettle is designed for boiling water for tea, combining durability with traditional Japanese aesthetics.
The body features the classic “Arare” (hailstone) pattern, evenly textured across a rounded flat form (“Hiramaru”), giving the kettle a balanced and timeless presence.
Unlike enameled kettles, the interior is finished using a traditional kiln-baked (kamayaki) method, allowing the kettle to function as an authentic tetsubin for direct heating and long-term use.
