Traditional Japanese Copper Hot Pot for Shared Meals
This 27 cm copper yosenabe hot pot is handcrafted in Tokyo, Japan by Nakamura Copperworks, a maker known for traditional Japanese copper cookware.
Copper is valued in professional kitchens for its excellent heat conductivity and heat retention, allowing broth to stay hot and cook ingredients evenly. This makes the pot particularly well suited for Japanese hot pot dishes such as yosenabe and shabu-shabu, where ingredients are added gradually during cooking.
The exterior features a hand-hammered copper finish, created by shaping the metal with a mallet. This traditional technique increases the surface area, helping improve heat transfer while giving the pot a distinctive handcrafted appearance.
Designed for shared meals, this pot is suitable for both professional restaurant use and home dining.

Care Instructions
Before first use:
Wash the pot and boil water in it (fill approximately 70–80%) before cooking.
After use (inside):
Rinse with water and a soft sponge. Avoid harsh scrubbing because the tin lining is soft. If the tin wears and copper becomes visible, the pot can still be used for cooking.
After use (outside):
Wash, dry, and polish with a soft cloth. Copper naturally changes color over time.
Do not dry heat:
Avoid heating the pot while empty because the tin lining may melt.
Do not store food:
Do not leave cooked food in the pot overnight. Transfer food to another container for storage.
