A Compact Kamidana Set for First-Time Ofuda Enshrinement
The “Sodetsuki Daijingu” Kamidana Set offers a practical introduction to establishing a Shinto altar at home or in the workplace. Designed as a compact starter kit, this set includes the essential elements required for enshrining an ofuda (Shinto talisman).
The shrine follows the traditional Daijingu-style design, a classic kamidana form known for its simple structure and clean proportions. In this design, the ofuda is placed inside the shrine by removing the front door panel, allowing for straightforward installation.
Crafted in Japan from hinoki (Japanese cypress), the shrine body reflects the materials commonly used in traditional shrine construction. The set also includes essential accessories such as a ceramic shingu offering set, sacred mirror, and artificial sakaki leaves, allowing the altar to be prepared for use upon installation.
With its compact size and complete accessory set, this kamidana is well suited for homes, apartments, and offices seeking a small but authentic Shinto altar.

Notes
Because natural hinoki wood is used, resin (sap) may occasionally appear on the surface. This is a natural characteristic of the material and not a product defect.
If resin appears, it can be gently wiped with ethanol or alcohol. This method may reduce the resin but may not remove it completely.
For wall installation, a separate kamidana shelf is required.
