Tips for Clear Ice (from the maker)

Use soft water with few minerals. If you use tap water, filter it, then boil it once to remove air.

Freeze slowly: if your freezer allows, set it warmer (about −5 to −10 °C / 14 to 23 °F), or raise the mold off the cooling plate (for example, on chopsticks).

Notes

Check the maximum ice size of your ice shaver before use. Trim the block if it is taller than your machine allows.
